History of kratom legality in Illinois
The Land of Lincoln has been locked in a complex legislative battle over kratom since 2014 when a bill was passed by the Illinois state legislature amending the Illinois Controlled Substances Act. Just weeks after the proposal of the KCPA, another group of lawmakers introduced a bill that would ban kratom statewide.
